Hallett Materials (HCTX) provides sand, gravel and similar materials for the construction industry. Starting operations in 1918 with a single aggregate pit, almost 50 are now in use. In the mid-1960s, they began to acquire their own fleet of 70-ton 3-bay hoppers primarily for moving limestone although they were also periodically seen hauling coal.
