Brand New Micro Trains Line 993 00 181 - Road #223400, 223402, 223408 - Built in the late 1970s, this 7,167 cubic-foot, 60-foot long waffle-side boxcar was designed for large or bulky commodities. Now under the ownership of Norfolk Southern, this boxcar continues to operate in revenue service. Conrail was founded in 1976 through the government merger of bankrupt railroads such as Penn Central Railroad, Erie Lackawanna, and others, and operated until 1999 when it was split into Norfolk Southern and CSX Transportation.
