(Of course, you can model your favorite brand with these kits which are typical of buildings used by all major automakers.)

From tiny screws to solid steel frames, here's where the 30,000+ parts of your new car or truck are brought together as one. Most of those parts are made by other suppliers, then shipped here by rail. Shipping is carefully timed and closely watched, as the parts must arrive on the day they're needed. Finally, your new vehicle begins its trip down a moving assembly line. Body panels are welded, cleaned and painted. Frames are connected to drivetrains and exhaust systems. From radiator to radio, workers on the line add another component at each station. Finally, a gleaming new car or truck is completed. After inspection, it's moved to the Distribution Facility (933-3076, sold separately) for another train trip.
 
Some of the biggest buildings on the property, Assembly Plants are the heart of any automaker's operations. This HO Scale model builds into a detailed replica, sized to fit most layouts. It features a modern brick front office, while the plant itself is made of corrugated metal on a concrete foundation. Big overhead doors on the back wall can be built open to handle box cars. Lots of windows, roof-top vents and many other details are included, along with 1960s and 1990s vintage signs. Finished model measures: 23-3/16 x 12 x 4-3/4" 58 x 30 x 11.8cm.
 
Sheet metal, seats and other lightweight parts can be delivered to your new plant in Walthers 86' Hi-Cube Box Cars with four (Individual Cars 932-3500 series, 2-Packs 932-23501 Series) or eight doors (Individual Cars 932-3530 series, 2-Packs 932-23531 Series) to speed loading and unloading. Heavy components like engines, axles, transmissions and wheels arrive in Pullman-Standard 60' Single Door (Individual Cars 932-3550 series, 2-Packs 932-23551 Series) or Double-Door Auto Parts Box Cars (Individual Cars 932-3580 series, 2-Packs 932-23581 Series).
