When a wheel bearing overheats it causes the brakeman's nightmare known as a hot box. These new cars allow you to recreate this red hot situation. After about 30 seconds of moving on the track, the scenario begins with an irregular sound and a whiff of smoke. Crew dialog keeps you on top of the situation with reports such as "Somethings burning!" and "We've got a blazer!" Smoke, lights and screeching intensify until you, the engineer, initiate an emergency stop to let your crew cool that spindle.
